I know this has been already posted but can you please fix the disappearing Gimzo. I have to restarted Valence at last 6 times during a scene I made today due to this bug.
Sorry for the inconvenience there. I thought I had solved this in 1.1.5
I’ll take a look again. Does this usually happen after leaving or entering orthographic mode?
Yah, I’ve also seem it if I don’t like the latest change and reload the project.
The oddest thing is If you tap with your pencil where the gizmo should and move it around the selected object will move normally even though the gimzo is gone.
Still broken in 1.17…
Ahh, okay, let me know when this happens. I’m having a hard time recreating it on my end.
Every time. If you have a scene open and then goto the scene selector and select another scene or reopen the same scene it happens.
I can’t reproduce it in 1.18 as of yet… I’ll keep you posted.
I can reproduce the gizmo disappearing. Even on 1.19
- Create a new scene with a base square.
- Save the scene in the outliner.
- Put a loop cut through the centre of the square.
- Save the scene again.
- Goto the scene selector and select the scene you create in step 1.
- The gizmo will be gone.
i’ll try to replicate this. Sorry for the inconvenience. I tried with a cube last time… I had misread it needed to be a square.
Ok I updated to 1.20. Same issue. He’s a video of me reproducing the disappearing Gizmo. I can’t upload a .mp4 to the forum but he’s a link to it on my youtube channel. As you can see it’s a new project, just a cube and the gizmo is there until I do the five steps above. I even restarted my ipad and it still disappears.
If you are looking for Beta testers let me know. I have a iPad Pro M2 and an ipad Mini to test on.
I’ve tried my best to try to replicate the issue, but this might be a wonky hardware / software os issue. Which iOS version are you on? Regardless I just added another code check orientation gizmo to make sure this doesn’t happen.
please send me an email support@hi-rez.io and I’ll get you added.
Latest iOS version. I might be leaning to what you mentioned about a possible bad install as I can’t reproduce it on my mini only the ipad pro with the M2. I’m wonder it may be a M series processor issue as someone else mentioned the disappearing gizmo as well a while ago.
Hmmm well, hopefully the next version will resolve this… i’m going to add you to testflight so hopefully it will be resolved faster for you!
